ABOUT US: The Orange County Branch, California Writers Club is one of seventeen branches in the state organization. OC Branch is open to professional and aspiring writers and non-writing literary experts.

     At our monthly meetings, members have the opportunity to meet authors, agents, editors and publishers and to acquire current techniques and information for the crafting and marketing of their work. The Club offers professional networking, mentoring and a variety of educational programs to its members. We facilitate the exchange of ideas among authors and provide inspiration through the camaraderie of fellow writers.

     Dues structure:
New Membership: $65 for both Active and Associate membership. After January 1, half-year dues are $22.50. This includes a one-time procedessing fee of $20.
Renewal: $45 per year. Annual dues are payable July 1 of each year.
    
     Active membership status is open to professional writers who have been successfully published. Prospective members must submit a clip of a published work to the membership chair for evaluation.
     Associate member status: Open to aspiring writers working to hone their craft. Publication is not a requirement for membership. Prospective members at this level must submit a writing sample to the membership chair for evaluation. Associate members also include non-writing literary professionals - agents, booksellers, publishers, producers, directors and book illustrators.
Both Active and Associate members are members at the branch and state levels.
 
To Apply for Membership        
Applications are available at meetings and by email from the address below. Bring a completed application and writing samples to a meeting with a check made out to OCB, CWC.Acceptance depends on the quality of the sample and the ratio of Active to Associate members of the branch.
