During 10 years on staff at the Los Angeles Times, Denise Hamilton covered the break-up of the Soviet Union and youth movements in Japan among other world events. She spent most of her Times tenure covering multicultural communities in Los Angeles. Her credits include the best-selling Eve Diamond crime novels, articles, book reviews and more. She will speak on "From L.A. Times Journalist to Best-Selling Crime Fiction Novelist: How to Create a Writing Life." 
CWC members write novels, short stories, screen plays, poetry, nonfiction articles and books,and more. Over half are published.
