Membership Information

The Orange County Branch, California Writers Club is one of 22 branches in the state organization. OC Branch is open to professional and aspiring writers and non-writing literary experts.

At our monthly meetings, members have the opportunity to meet authors, agents, editors and publishers and to acquire current techniques and information for the crafting and marketing of their work. The Club offers professional networking, mentoring and a variety of educational programs to its members. We facilitate the exchange of ideas among authors and provide inspiration through the camaraderie of fellow writers.

For further information about our programs and activities, please contact our Membership Chair listed below.

Dues structure:
New Membership: $65 for both Active and Associate membership. After January 1, half-year dues are $42.50. Both amounts include a one-time processing fee of $20 to the state organization.
Renewal: $45 per year. Renewals are payable July 1 of each year.

Active membership status is open to professional writers who have been successfully published. Prospective active members must submit a clip of a published work to the membership chair for evaluation.

Associate member status is open to aspiring writers working to hone their craft. Publication is not a requirement for membership, however, acceptance depends on the ratio of Active to Associate members of the branch. Associate members also include non-writing literary professionals - agents, booksellers, publishers, producers, directors and book illustrators. Both Active and Associate members belong to CWC at the branch and state levels.
