Frequently Asked Questions
Does the club run critique groups?
Club leadership does not formally initiate or operate critique groups. Members are invited and encouraged to start critique groups. There are three ways to develop critique group membership:
- Attend meetings and talk to people directly
- Place an ad in the club newsletter
- Interact on the Facebook page to solicit members.
What type of networking does the club host?
- The networking potential at the live meetings is one of the big perks of the group. Prior to and after each monthly meeting (first Saturday of every month), members are invited to network.
- A member directory is being prepared. We anticipate this being accessible through the members-only portal in early 2025.
- Quarterly mixers are hosted by club leadership and are held at vary times and dates. These are announced at meetings and in the newsletter. We also actively welcome and encourage members to host these events.
How can I contribute to the club?
- As a non-profit, all functions of the club are led by volunteers. We encourage members to be involved in support of the club given the numerous administrative tasks necessary to keep the club operative.
- In addition to board member roles, members can contribute to social media, meeting administration, and hosting events. To contribute, please speak with the president or vice-president of the club to learn more about current needs.
- The club encourages active participation in quarterly mixers and member-led critique groups.
